According to TechCrunch, British AI infrastructure company Nscale and Anthropic, the company that makes Claude, are discussing another computing deal worth $45 billion. Just over a month ago, the two companies announced a deal worth the same amount. Now they may be close to announcing another one.

Anthropic Is Making Huge Computing Deals

Bloomberg reports, citing people who know about the discussions, that the two companies may soon announce the additional computing deal. These sources said that talks are still taking place and that the details could still change.

If the deal goes ahead, it will be the latest in a long list of huge computing deals that Anthropic has made over the past year. Neither Nscale nor Anthropic has commented on these reports so far.

Nscale and Anthropic Are Both Planning to Go Public

The huge amounts of money being spent on AI computing deals have worried some investors. They fear that companies are spending too much money without getting enough in return. Even so, Anthropic has continued to make these partnerships, believing that the investments will eventually pay off.

Both Anthropic and Nscale are currently working toward stock market listings, known as initial public offerings (IPOs). Anthropic is still expected to go public this year. Nscale also wants to launch an IPO, but Bloomberg reported on Monday that some investors are pushing back against the company's proposed valuation of $30 billion.
