Trump Officially Replaces the Term “Artificial Intelligence” with “Superintelligence”
US President Donald Trump generally opposes rules that limit the development of artificial intelligence. At a meeting with leaders of companies that work in this field, he said, “Self-regulation is very important,” Agence France-Presse reported at the end of September.
Trump also said he would sign a document later that day to officially replace the term “artificial intelligence” with “superintelligence.”
The US president said his meeting with the CEOs of companies developing artificial intelligence was “very productive” and took place “in an extremely friendly atmosphere.”
He said the companies would work with local communities, especially on matters involving data centers, and would try to meet their needs.
