Anthropic offers Blackstone over 10% yield in $9bn chip deal

SAN FRANCISCO, California: Anthropic is offering Blackstone a return of more than 10% as it looks for money to pay for its latest chip deal. Funds managed by Blackstone are expected to invest US$9 billion through a loan, the Financial Times reported on October 16.

The loan would be backed by the payments Anthropic has agreed to make to rent the chips over five years, the report said, citing people who know about the deal.
