OpenAI Upgrades ChatGPT Slides With Live Teamwork, Comments And PowerPoint Export

OpenAI has made a major upgrade to ChatGPT Slides, its presentation tool, to help teams work together. Users can now create, edit, and review presentations together inside ChatGPT. They can also make changes directly on slides instead of using only text prompts.

Users can share presentations with coworkers and choose what each person is allowed to do: view, comment on, or edit the slides. Several people can work on the same presentation at the same time and leave comments.

Users do not have to make every change themselves after receiving feedback. They can tag ChatGPT in a comment and ask it to rewrite text, update charts, or act on suggestions. They can also give the same task to Dots, which OpenAI describes as an AI agent that stays available to handle ongoing tasks.

Edit Slides Directly

The update also lets users edit slides themselves. They can click a slide to change text, update charts, and move or resize images and shapes. This is useful for making quick changes.

To begin, users can ask ChatGPT to "create ChatGPT slides" using a conversation, files they have shared, or an outline. They can also start with a template. ChatGPT can create custom images for the presentation or use photos uploaded by the user.

Users who want a particular look can share an example presentation. ChatGPT will use it as a guide for the presentation's style and layout.

OpenAI says the tool can create a 10-slide quarterly review, prepare a presentation for a product launch, turn numbers into charts, and add speaker notes with key points for each slide.

Present Or Export

Users can present their finished slides directly in ChatGPT. They can also export them to Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides and continue editing the content there.

ChatGPT Slides is part of ChatGPT Space, which OpenAI describes as a place where teams can work together with their files and ChatGPT.

The new features are available to users with ChatGPT Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans.
