SEOUL, South Korea, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- VARCO Sound is an AI tool that creates several separate sound layers for one scene, allowing users to arrange and edit each layer.

NC AI, a company that develops AI systems that can work with different types of information, officially released its generative AI platform, VARCO Sound, on Oct. 20. Users can create and edit sounds that fit a scene by providing text, images, or videos. VARCO Sound is designed to help developers and producers who have little experience designing sounds turn their ideas into high-quality soundtracks.

Users can also use the web version of VARCO Sound by signing up on the official website.

NC AI also announced a special promotion for VARCO Sound and its AI-powered 3D generator, VARCO 3D. The promotion runs until Nov. 30 after the launch. It aims to make AI content creation tools easier to access and is open to both new users and existing members who have been using the free version.

Users who make their first purchase during the promotion can get 50% off their subscription fee for the first month. They will also receive extra points, and users with higher-level subscriptions will receive more points. Each account can use this offer once for VARCO Sound and once for VARCO 3D.

Events will also take place in the official VARCO Discord community. Foley sounds are sounds made to match actions or objects in a scene.

One of the tool's main features is that it creates a separate audio track for each sound source instead of combining all the sounds into one file. Users can listen to each track separately, change its volume, or replace specific sound effects. This helps them improve the final result and better match their creative ideas.

The "Variation" feature helps users build on work they have already created. Users can upload an original sound sample and generate different versions while keeping its original texture and subtle details. This can greatly reduce the time needed to improve ideas and create early versions of a project.

Users can create and edit sounds by describing what they want in everyday language to the conversational AI assistant called "Sound Agent." The AI assistant understands the request and automatically applies the right features. This makes the tool easier for beginners to use.

VARCO Sound also has an automatic volume mixer that helps prevent sounds from clashing when several tracks play at the same time. The AI checks the volume of each track and adjusts the balance so that no sound is too loud or too quiet.

Currently, the longest audio file the tool can generate is 60 seconds. NC AI plans to keep improving the tool so that it can support video inputs of up to 120 seconds.

NC AI has also released a desktop app and a Unity plugin that let creators add the tool to their existing work processes. Files created with the desktop app can be dragged and dropped into other digital audio workstations (DAWs) for immediate use. In the future, NC AI plans to add a personalized library search feature that lets users search using everyday language and audio, making their work easier and faster.

The Unity plugin has also been selected as a Unity Verified Solution, showing that it meets standards for performance and compatibility. The plugin lets game developers stay inside the Unity engine while creating soundtracks from text and images. They can then use the built-in editing tools to add the sounds directly to their projects.
