Anthropic and Nscale Reportedly Near Second $45B AI Compute Deal

Anthropic and Nscale, a company that provides computing systems for AI, are reportedly close to announcing another $45 billion deal for computing power. This comes just over a month after the two companies agreed to a deal worth the same amount.
According to Bloomberg, which cited people who know about the talks, the companies are close to completing the new deal. However, discussions are still underway, and the terms could change.
If the deal goes ahead, it would add to a long list of major computing agreements Anthropic has made over the past year to secure enough computing power for its AI models. The huge amounts of money being spent on AI infrastructure have worried some investors. They fear companies are spending too much money without making enough profit in return. Even so, Anthropic has continued to make these deals because it believes the investments will eventually pay off.
Both companies are also getting ready to sell shares to the public for the first time. Anthropic is still expected to launch its initial public offering (IPO) this year, while Nscale is working toward its own stock market listing. However, Bloomberg separately reported that some investors are pushing back against Nscale's proposed company value of $30 billion.
