ChainLabs said on Tuesday that it had launched HyperGEO, a service that helps websites appear more accurately in answers from generative AI systems. This kind of service is called generative engine optimization (GEO).

The company said HyperGEO helps AI services such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude find, explain and recommend information about companies more accurately.

HyperGEO focuses on fixing information that already exists instead of creating large amounts of new content. It corrects wrong facts and helps make sure that the information AI reads matches the information on a website. ChainLabs said that, after these steps were taken, a company that provides stock information saw its share of mentions in AI answers rise from 22.4 percent to 68.5 percent in six weeks. This was about three times as much as before. The company also said the rate at which AI explained the information correctly increased from 41.0 percent to 89.2 percent.

HyperGEO asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude the same questions every day. It measures how often a company is mentioned in AI answers, how accurate the information is, and how often the company is mentioned compared with its competitors. It also counts how many people visit a website after coming from an AI service. To help users check the results, HyperGEO saves the original AI answers and the web addresses of the sources those answers cite.

ChainLabs stressed that it explains how it measures results and what standards it uses. Instead of making promises such as guaranteeing that a company will rank highly in AI answers, it gives customers information they can check for themselves.
