Chinese AI startup Moonshot is expanding into Singapore, according to a new sales job posted on the company's LinkedIn page this week.

The job ad, posted on Tuesday, seeks people with experience in sales, venture capital, consulting, product development or engineering. The company wants someone who can turn early successes into growing sales, strong business partnerships and a bigger presence in the market.

Moonshot released its Kimi K3 model in July. The company said it was the world's largest open-weight AI system and that its performance was close to that of Anthropic's models.

Beijing-based Moonshot did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Wednesday about its plans for Singapore.

Business registry records show that Moonshot AI has a business entity that was registered in Singapore in July 2023. It was renamed Novascent in June 2026.

Moonshot's backers include Tencent Holdings, Meituan and China Mobile.
