Claude Duet is Anthropic’s proactive AI agent answer to Muse and OpenAI’s Dots [Video]
Anthropic is announcing Claude Duet today, a new AI agent that competes with Muse and OpenAI Dots. However, it is not yet widely available.
Claude Duet is a “proactive agent” that uses information from your past conversations with Claude and connects to other resources to help you. Anthropic says it is designed for “professionals and small business owners with more on their plates than they can track.”
Duet will first be available as a research preview for people on Pro and Max plans. Access will begin through a waitlist.
Anthropic explains how Claude Duet could help people throughout the day:
Every morning, it sends you a short summary of the most important things across the apps you have connected. During the day, it checks those apps and sends you a message only when something needs your attention. You can also ask it to do many kinds of tasks. These range from simple office work, such as scheduling meetings, to harder tasks, such as building dashboards with dozens of tools, making financial or sales forecasts, creating early versions of products, and building web apps.
This announcement comes a few weeks after OpenAI launched Dots, its own proactive AI agent. It also follows a big increase in interest in Meta’s Muse.
