A Rotary club recently held a talk about artificial intelligence (AI).

Hythe & Waterside Rotary welcomed Mark Fraser, who wrote Teach English with AI, for an evening about this fast-changing technology and how it works.

Mr Fraser gave an interesting talk about many topics. He showed how AI is already part of everyday life, often without people realising it.

He also explained the many ways AI can be used, including solving problems, finding information, making everyday tasks easier and helping people discover new possibilities.

However, Mr Fraser said people should be careful because AI can make mistakes. He advised the audience not to believe everything it produces without checking it carefully.

He also gave advice about staying safe online. He urged people to protect their personal information, think carefully about what they share and watch out for scams and fake images made using AI.
