New Delhi [India], October 22 (ANI): OpenAI, led by Sam Altman, has partnered with Google Cloud to make its advanced AI models and Codex workflows, which can carry out tasks on their own, available through Google Cloud's Model Garden, according to a statement from the company behind ChatGPT.

The partnership will help businesses build and launch AI-powered workflows using Google Cloud's systems and tools for managing and protecting data.

“OpenAI models are coming to Google Cloud. We're bringing our most advanced models and Codex workflows, which can carry out tasks on their own, to Google Cloud's Model Garden, so businesses can use our technology where they already build,” the AI company said in a post on X.

Google Cloud customers will be able to buy OpenAI's AI models through Model Garden on the Google Cloud Marketplace. Customers who have already agreed to spend a certain amount on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) will also be able to use those spending commitments to pay for these purchases.

OpenAI models will also soon be available on Google Antigravity and the Gemini Agent. This will give business customers more ways to choose models that suit their specific tasks and needs.

The company said the partnership aims to make its models available to more people and help businesses add them to the workflows they already use.

“By expanding access through Google Cloud, we are giving businesses more choice in how they find and use our most advanced models, with a way to start by testing them and then use them more widely,” the company said.

Commenting on the development, Greg Brockman, President and co-founder of OpenAI, said, “Google Cloud is a leading platform for developers and businesses building AI agents, writing software, and putting AI to work. This partnership is an important step in making our most capable models and Codex available where customers are already building, giving them even more choice in how they use advanced AI as we grow the ecosystem of AI agents together.”

Thomas Kurian, Chief Executive Officer of Google Cloud, added, “We are focused on giving customers a wide choice of models, including those from OpenAI, so they can choose the right model for each job. This can help deliver the best results at a lower cost.” (ANI)
