Anthropic ANTHROPIC could make its S-1 document for investors public as early as Friday, October 23, Yahoo Finance reported. The report cited three people who know about the plans.

The filing would let investors learn more about how quickly the company behind Claude is growing its revenue, how much it depends on a small number of customers, its rising computing costs, and the risks linked to artificial intelligence (AI).

Anthropic ANTHROPIC did not immediately respond when Seeking Alpha asked for a comment.

Anthropic ANTHROPIC privately sent a draft document to register its planned stock offering to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in June. The company must make the filing public at least 15 days before it begins its roadshow, when it presents the planned stock offering to potential investors. The timing of the IPO will depend on market conditions.

Anthropic ANTHROPIC reported revenue of $16.3B for the first half of 2026, up from $1.1B in the same period a year earlier. It also reported a net loss of $80.7B. This included $72B in accounting adjustments that did not involve cash. These adjustments were linked to convertible notes and other ways of raising money, according to a draft version of its S-1 filing.

The company reportedly told investors last week that its third-quarter revenue rose to $16.8B from $11.5B in the second quarter. It also said it was profitable after certain costs and accounting items were adjusted.

Two customers made up about 20% of Anthropic’s ANTHROPIC revenue in the first half of the year. During that period, the company spent nearly $9B on computing power and infrastructure, more than the $7.3B it spent during all of 2025. It gets computing resources through partnerships with Google GOOGL and Amazon AMZN. It also rents graphics processing unit (GPU) computing power at SpaceX’s SPCX Colossus 1 data center.

Anthropic’s possible IPO could raise as much as $100B, based on an earlier report that valued the company at $2T. However, some investors are now discussing a lower value of about $1.5T, because of concerns about revenue growth and the cost of developing AI.
