SEC exams to focus on private credit, artificial intelligence, among other priorities in FY27

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced what its Division of Examinations will focus on during fiscal year 2027. On Friday, the agency said one of its main goals is to protect everyday investors, especially those investing in complicated products, products with a higher chance of losing money, and investments that are hard to sell quickly.
