When it comes to famous technology company founders, Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX (SPCX) and Tesla (TSLA), stands apart from everyone else.

Experts say Dario Amodei, the CEO of Anthropic (ANTH.PVT), also has big ideas and a strong vision for the future. But they say he is not at the same level as Musk.

That difference could become important as Anthropic loses large amounts of money while operating as a publicly traded company that must keep its new shareholders happy. Will investors be patient with Amodei, as they have been with Musk and his companies, Tesla and SpaceX, in the past? Or will investors punish Anthropic and Amodei if the company fails to meet its big goals for growth?

"Elon is truly one of a kind. I think Dario has built an amazing company. There is no doubt about that. But compared with Dario, Elon is like a rock star because of his personality and public image. That is why people are willing to give Elon more freedom and forgive more mistakes," Jared Carmel, co-founder of Manhattan Venture Partners, said on Sozzi Unleashed.

Manhattan Venture Partners has invested money in both SpaceX and Anthropic.

Investors will soon get a chance to judge how well Amodei and his team can run Anthropic.

According to reports, Anthropic is getting ready to make its S-1 prospectus public soon, possibly before the end of today. This is a document that gives investors important information about a company before it starts selling shares to the public.

Information leaked from an early version of that document shows that Anthropic's sales are growing extremely quickly. The company's revenue during the first six months of 2026 jumped to $16.3 billion, compared with $1.1 billion during the same period a year earlier.

However, the document also shows that Anthropic lost $80.7 billion after expenses during the first six months of 2026.

According to reports, investment bankers are trying to give Anthropic a very high value when its shares first become available to the public. They are aiming for a value of around $1.5 trillion to $2 trillion.

Anthropic could begin selling its shares on public stock markets before the end of November.
