KTR Encourages Young People to Use AI
K T Rama Rao (KTR), the working president of BRS, urged young people on Saturday to see Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a chance to create new ideas and find jobs, rather than fear that it would take jobs away. He said people need to keep learning, build their skills and adapt to new technology.
KTR opened the India headquarters of Random Trees, a company that works in data, AI and innovation, in Hyderabad. During the event, he spoke about the need to make Telangana's technology sector stronger, attract investment and prepare young people for future jobs. He said people often worry when new technology arrives, but these changes eventually create new chances for growth.
Changing How People Think About AI
KTR recalled that people had opposed the use of computers in banks when they were first introduced. He said accepting change was necessary for progress. He added that calling AI a 'monster' would only make people afraid for no good reason.
The Government's Role in Technology Growth
KTR said private companies play an important role in creating jobs. He said governments should focus on making it easier for businesses to operate instead of trying to give jobs directly to everyone. To attract investment, he said, places need reliable electricity and water, good roads and other facilities, efficient transport and rules that make it easy to do business.
Preparing for a Future Led by Technology
KTR said the previous BRS government had taken several steps to make Hyderabad a leading global IT destination and bring international companies and Global Capability Centres (GCCs) to the city. He said he was confident that Hyderabad could become a major centre for AI research, data science and new technology.
KTR also spoke about the 'Saagu-Baagu' initiative in Sircilla, explaining how technology can help farmers find crop pests and get solutions in time. He also pointed to digital platforms as examples of business models that use technology to create jobs. KTR called for governments, industries and educational institutions to work together so young people can learn the skills employers need and people from all parts of society can benefit from technology.
