HCLTech, Anthropic to Expand Enterprise Agentic AI Deployments

HCLTech and Anthropic have signed a Global Premier Partnership to expand enterprise use of agentic artificial intelligence (AI), with plans to integrate Anthropic’s Claude models into HCLTech’s services, software products, and engineering platform.
The partnership will see HCLTech establish a dedicated Anthropic Business Unit and a Centre of Excellence (CoE) to develop Claude-based solutions. The company also plans to provide secure sandbox environments for enterprise deployments through forward-deployed engineers (FDEs).
HCLSoftware will become an independent software vendor partner to Anthropic, embedding Claude capabilities into selected enterprise products, including HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan. The companies did not disclose which other products would receive the integrations.
HCLTech will also integrate Claude and Claude Code into AI Force, its agentic software engineering platform. Planned applications include IT support, code remediation, and digital employee services. HCLTech said these workflows would use policy guardrails, exception handling, and human oversight for high-impact changes.
The announcement did not disclose a deployment timeline, financial terms, or named customers for the integrations.
“AI can only be as useful as it is trustworthy, and we build Claude to give companies the confidence to bring it into their most sensitive and valuable work,” Anthropic Co-founder and President Daniela Amodei said.
She added that Anthropic would work with the company as it integrates Claude and Claude Code.
The HCLTech deal adds to Anthropic’s partnerships with Indian IT services firms. In July, DXC Technology signed a global partnership with Anthropic and opened a Bengaluru AI centre to support AI development and customer collaboration. The companies planned to train tens of thousands of forward-deployed, Claude-certified engineers and builders.
Anthropic has also expanded the infrastructure options available to Indian enterprises deploying Claude. On October 5, it made Claude models available with in-country inference through Amazon Bedrock, allowing requests sent through the India endpoint to be processed within AWS regions in Mumbai and Hyderabad.
