HCLTech Partners with Anthropic to Set Up Dedicated AI Business Unit

Noida, October 12 (APAC Media): HCLTech signed a global partnership agreement with Anthropic today to expand the deployment of agentic AI across enterprises, with a focus on safety, cybersecurity, and governance. The strategic collaboration combines HCLTech’s deep engineering expertise with Anthropic’s advanced Claude models to transition businesses from AI experimentation to full-scale deployment.

Building Dedicated AI Infrastructure

Under the agreement, HCLTech will establish a dedicated Anthropic Business Unit and a Centre of Excellence (CoE) to develop tailored AI solutions and support enterprise deployments of Claude models. The unit will offer secure testing environments while guiding clients through AI-based engineering practices. Additionally, HCLSoftware will become an independent software vendor (ISV) partner, integrating Claude and Claude Code into flagship enterprise products like HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan.

Enhancing Software Workflows and Security

HCLTech will also embed Claude and Claude Code directly into its AIForce platform to optimize software engineering processes, including IT support, code remediation, and digital employee services. To ensure safe operation, these applications will leverage policy guardrails, exception handling, and human oversight for high-impact decisions.
