In the era of general-purpose artificial intelligence (AGI), KCC E&C hosted a lecture to examine future construction industry changes and seek competitiveness.

KCC E&C announced on the 13th that it invited KAIST professor Kim Dae-sik at the "Connect Lounge" on the first floor of the Seoul office building on the 12th to hold a lecture on executives and employees under the theme of "AGI-era literacy and leadership."

Professor Kim, who studies brain science and AI, introduced the impact of developments in AI and AGI on industrial and work environments. The role and decision-making methods of people changing as technology advances were discussed, and the capabilities needed for individuals and organizations were explained in the future.

The lecture focused on 'literacy' that accurately understands and utilizes AI and leadership that actively responds to change. It is designed not only to acquire technology-related knowledge, but to apply it to each person's work and organizational operation to think about it.

The lecture was attended by field directors and managers, as well as executives and employees of the headquarters. The company explained that the site and the headquarters need to understand technological changes together due to the nature of the construction industry, which combines various fields such as design, construction, and site management.

KCC E&C invites celebrities from each field to hold regular lectures every quarter. "To prepare for the future of the construction industry, we need a broad perspective on other industries and technologies along with expertise accumulated in the field," a company official said. "We will continue to prepare meetings with celebrities in various fields to help executives and employees get new ideas and lead them to the company's competitiveness."
