An artificial intelligence policy group backed by Anthropic has put another $3 million in outside spending behind Democratic California state Sen. Scott Wiener to succeed former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), according to a source familiar with the matter.
Public First Action’s contribution is a significant increase from the $500,000 that the safety group gave to a super PAC backing Wiener earlier this year.
