The initiative will open Google’s scientific tools to researchers working on challenges such as extreme weather and molecular mapping.
Google DeepMind and Google Cloud, Alphabet’s cloud service, will give up to 200 European scientific researchers direct access to their frontier models and $3 million in compute credits, the U.S. tech giant said on Wednesday.
This is reported by Reuters.
The researchers will be able to use the companies’ scientific tools, including AlphaFold 3, WeatherNext, AlphaGenome, AlphaEvolve and AlphaEarth Foundations.
The companies said the access would help researchers tackle complex challenges faster, from predicting extreme weather patterns to mapping molecular structures.
