사진 확대 With the recent rise in artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and short-term degree acquisition among office workers, the MBA market is also accelerating its customized reorganization centered on practical work. Amid this trend, Sogang University's Graduate School of Business, which has been conducting management education since 1980, is attracting attention by recruiting new MBA students in the first half of the 2027 school year (entered in March 2027).
The recruitment features a wide composition of "from a one-year intensive course to a senior practitioner's doctoral course" so that applicants can choose the optimal program tailored to their career stages and goals. There are four recruitment courses: three master's degree courses (▲Pro-MBA ▲ S-MBA ▲ AI-MBA) and one master's and doctoral integration and one doctoral course (▲E-PhD).
The "Pro-MBA," optimized for incumbent employees, is designed to take their careers to the next level by efficiently combining work and study based on a strong alumni network accumulated for more than 90 years. "S-MBA" is an intensive course that completes a degree in one year (a five-module system for the third semester). It is suitable for applicants who want to prepare for domestic and foreign degrees at the same time within a short period of time by providing opportunities to obtain multiple degrees with overseas universities.
The "AI-MBA," which is operated once a week as a Saturday class, is a course that even non-majors can complete. Through the acquisition of various AI technologies and the practice of implementing actual business models, experts who combine AI technology and management insights will be trained.
E-PhD, the first Ph.D. in business administration for senior practitioners in Korea, conducts in-depth research centered on consumers that deals with actual management issues of companies. Through this, it focuses on executive-level talents who want to share field know-how, help them leap to the top leader, and expand their practical experience to academic research.
The recruitment features a segmentation of the process by career stages of applicants, including office workers, short-term degree holders, AI capacity building practitioners, and senior executives who want to expand their field experience to research. In addition, the academic burden on the incumbent was greatly reduced through weekend classes and one-year completion of the school system.
The screening process proceeds in the order of application, document screening, interview screening, and final acceptance. The first application for the master's course, ▲ Pro-MBA ▲ S-MBA ▲ AI-MBA, will be accepted from 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 8 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, and the interview will be held on October 30 (Fri) and the final successful candidate will be announced on November 6 (Fri).
▲ E-PhD, a Ph.D. program, will accept applications from 10 a.m. on October 8 (Thursday) to 5 p.m. on November 19 (Thursday). The interview will be held on November 27 (Friday) and the announcement of the final successful candidates will be held on December 31 (Thursday).
