MegazoneCloud Sweeps Three AWS Partner Awards, Proving Financial and Generative AI Capabilities

MegazoneCloud swept first place in three categories—financial services, generative artificial intelligence (AI), and contract performance—at Amazon Web Services' (AWS) South Korean partner sales program. The recognition spans the entire business cycle, from new customer acquisition and AI model adoption support to actual contract execution.

MegazoneCloud announced on the 15th that it won three categories at the "2026 Second-Half Korea Partner Prospecting League (KPPL)" held on the 14th at Josun Palace in Seoul: Financial Services Industry (FSI), Amazon Bedrock AI model adoption, and KPPL Acceleration. With this, the company extended its AWS KPPL winning streak to three consecutive years.

KPPL is a program operated by AWS to support South Korean partners in discovering new customers and expanding their businesses. AWS selects outstanding partners by evaluating new sales opportunity generation and customer cloud and AI adoption support capabilities in each category. This year's second-half program ran for approximately one month starting in mid-August.

Balanced Performance Across Financial Services, Generative AI, and Contract Conversion

The FSI category evaluates how many new sales opportunities a partner generates targeting financial industry customers. MegazoneCloud scored highly for identifying cloud and AI adoption demand in South Korea's financial sector—where security and regulatory compliance requirements are stringent—and converting that demand into concrete business opportunities through joint sales with AWS.

In the Amazon Bedrock AI model adoption category, the company was recognized for accelerating customer AI model adoption based on Amazon Bedrock, AWS's generative AI service. MegazoneCloud was credited with helping enterprise customers apply various AI models to actual operations and services, contributing to the broader adoption of generative AI.

The KPPL Acceleration category evaluates the conversion of identified sales opportunities into actual contracts. MegazoneCloud's consistent management of sales opportunities secured in the first half of this year, leading to concrete contract signings, proved decisive.

The evaluation criteria and achievements for each award category are summarized below.

Expanding AWS Collaboration… Targeting Financial and AI Demand

MegazoneCloud plans to leverage this achievement to expand joint sales and technical collaboration with AWS. The company intends to focus on identifying cloud migration and generative AI adoption demand across financial services and other industries, and converting that demand into actual business.

Kim Jong-chan, unit head at MegazoneCloud, said, "Winning three KPPL categories is recognition of MegazoneCloud's ability to quickly identify customer demand in the financial industry and generative AI sectors and translate it into tangible business results." He added, "We plan to further strengthen joint sales and technical collaboration with AWS and continue expanding our business supporting customers' cloud migration and generative AI adoption across financial services and other industries."

The awards ceremony was attended by MegazoneCloud co-CEOs Yeom Dong-hoon and Ham Kee-ho, along with unit head Kim Jong-chan. From AWS, Jamie Simon, APJ Partner Lead; Bang Hee-ran, Korea Partner Lead; and Kang Dong-jin, PDM Manager, were present.

This recognition reaffirms MegazoneCloud's standing within the AWS partner ecosystem while also demonstrating that financial services and generative AI have become key growth pillars in South Korea's cloud migration market. Notably, the company's success in generating sales opportunities in the heavily regulated financial industry can be interpreted as evidence that it possesses consulting capabilities that go beyond technical support to meet compliance and security requirements.

MegazoneCloud has long collaborated with AWS as a partner among South Korean cloud managed service providers (MSPs). Three consecutive years of KPPL wins serve as proof that AWS regards the company as a core partner in the South Korean market. Attention now turns to whether the two companies' joint sales efforts will expand beyond financial services into manufacturing, retail, public sector, and other industries.
