Anthropic Opens Office in Singapore and Partners with the Government

IT Home, October 15 news: The U.S. artificial intelligence company Anthropic announced yesterday the establishment of an office in Singapore and signed a memorandum of understanding with Singapore’s Ministry of Digital Development and Information.

IT Home learned from the official press release that Singapore is one of Anthropic’s most active global markets, with millions of residents and numerous businesses and government agencies already using Claude. This collaboration includes Singapore’s Government Technology Agency, Grab, and DBS Bank. As its local team continues to grow, Anthropic will leverage its advanced AI technology to help these institutions maintain their leadership positions.

At the same time, Anthropic will collaborate with Singapore to evaluate AI safety, cybersecurity, and large model security, promoting the responsible use of AI by government and private sector organizations.

According to Anthropic’s latest Economic Index, Singapore ranks second among 121 countries and regions in Claude.ai usage per capita, with actual usage reaching nearly six times the predicted level based on population size.
