OpenAI rolls out GPT-Live-1.1 with six new voices

OpenAI launched GPT-Live-1.1 on Thursday, the newest version of its family of voice models, with six new voices in different languages.

"GPT-Live-1.1 brings these updates to Voice in ChatGPT, Codex, and dots, with new voices in French, German, Hindi, Mexican Spanish, Korean, and Japanese," OpenAI wrote on X, promising "better" accents and fewer “checking...” pauses while users wait for updates.

According to the AI company, the updated model is available in ChatGPT, Codex, and dots starting today and will come to the API "soon."
