OpenAI adds Korean voices and boosts natural chat in ChatGPT Voice - CHOSUNBIZ

OpenAI said on the 16th that it updated the voice conversation feature "Voice" for its generative artificial intelligence (AI) service "ChatGPT."
The voice model "GPT-Live-1.1" applied in this update improves intonation and vocal expression across multiple languages, enabling more natural conversations in Korean.
It also newly added a male voice, "Hanul," and a female voice, "Haetsal," for Korean users.
ChatGPT's conversational expressions used while it searches for information were also improved. Instead of repeatedly saying "checking" as before, it uses context-appropriate phrases so users can keep a natural conversation going while waiting for answers.
GPT-Live, which powers ChatGPT Voice, uses a "full duplex" structure that can listen while speaking. Users can add questions even while ChatGPT is answering, and even if they pause briefly, ChatGPT can wait without immediately taking over the conversation.
The update will roll out sequentially to ChatGPT users worldwide, including Korea, and is available to free users. You can start a voice conversation by tapping the voice icon in ChatGPT.
