OpenAI has updated ChatGPT Voice (voice function). GPT-Live-1.1, which supports this update, improves the accent and voice expression of various languages, making it sound more natural when talking in Korean.

OpenAI announced on the 16th that it will introduce a new voice for Korean users on ChatGPT. Male voice "Hanul" and female voice "Sunshine" are added, allowing users to talk to ChatGPT with their desired voice. You can use voice functions when organizing your thoughts in words, asking questions, or practicing talking in other languages.

In particular, the conversation while searching for information became smooth. Rather than repeating things like "checking," ChatGPT uses a variety of expressions that fit the situation, naturally continuing the flow of the conversation while waiting for an answer.

The voice model GPT-Live, which runs ChattGPT voice, uses a "full duplex" structure that can be spoken and heard at the same time. Users can add questions while ChatGPT answers. In addition, if users pause to organize their thoughts, ChatGPT can wait without immediately intercepting the conversation.

OpenAI introduced this voice conversation method at the launch of GPT-Live in July. Based on this, the 1.1 update improves new voices, multilingual accents, and conversational expressions during search.
