BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WLOX) — A free training program for small businesses on using artificial intelligence is scheduled for Oct. 22 at Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast.

Hancock County Chamber Executive Director Tish Williams said the workshop will help business owners explore how AI can address challenges in areas such as business planning, human resources, and marketing.

“We’re going to take you through a process to help you use artificial intelligence to go after the number one problem that you’re having with your business and help you solve that problem,” Hancock County Chamber Executive Director Tish Williams said.

Participants will work through a workbook with guidance from a nationally recognized facilitator to identify business needs and explore potential solutions using AI.

Williams encouraged business owners who are hesitant about AI to attend.

“I think what’s happening is we’re all dabbling in it, and we don’t really know if we’re doing this right. And so this workshop is going to take you through a workbook with a nationally recognized facilitator, because no one’s really a true expert in AI right now,” Williams said.

The program is funded by Google through the U.S. Chamber Foundation.

Williams said the Hancock County Chamber is the only chamber in Mississippi selected to host the in-person training, which is open to businesses across the Coast, regardless of chamber membership.

“Come find out what it’s all about. It’s only going to take you a couple hours of your time, and it could change your business forever,” Williams said.

The workshop runs from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Oct. 22 at Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast, located at 711 Hollywood Blvd. in Bay St. Louis.

Business owners are encouraged to register ahead of time and bring a laptop, although one is not required.
