Machine learning-assisted hydrothermal process optimization yields carbon

An online survey of 306 postgraduate nursing students at several centres in western China found positive links between challenges in using artificial intelligence (AI), awareness of academic honesty, and innovative behaviour. The study abstract reports that AI application challenges were linked to awareness of academic honesty (r = 0.419, p < 0.001) and innovative behaviour (r = 0.406, p < 0.001). Awareness of academic honesty was also positively linked to innovative behaviour (r = 0.501, p < 0.001).
The researchers recruited participants through convenience sampling, meaning they selected students who were easy to reach. The students completed three questionnaires: the Generative Artificial Intelligence Literacy Questionnaire for Nursing Students, the AI Academic Integrity Awareness Scale, and the Nurse Innovation Behavior Scale. The researchers used descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. They treated results with p < 0.05 as statistically significant. They used challenge stressor theory and responsible innovation theory together to guide the study and explain its findings.
The average total scores were 40.71 ± 7.69 for AI application challenges, 34.83 ± 5.89 for awareness of academic honesty, and 35.94 ± 6.21 for innovative behaviour. The abstract described these scores as showing moderate-to-high levels. Male participants had significantly higher innovative behaviour scores than female participants. The regression analysis found that AI application challenges and awareness of academic honesty together explained 31.2% of the differences in innovative behaviour scores, with R² = 0.312 and an adjusted R² of 0.298. These results show statistical links between the measured factors. However, because the study collected data at one point in time, it cannot prove that one factor caused or increased another.
The findings have limits because the study collected data at one point in time, used convenience sampling, and focused on postgraduate nursing students in western China. The results therefore describe the students who took part and do not, by themselves, show how these relationships change over time or apply in other educational settings. The study abstract also reports the scores, correlations, and regression results without testing a specific educational programme or clinical intervention.
