Anthropic files S-1 with SEC, will IPO on NASDAQ and trade with ANT stock symbol

Anthropic, the company that created Claude, plans to become a publicly traded company.
Anthropic, the company behind Claude, has announced that it plans to sell shares to the public and become a publicly traded company. It has filed an S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Its shares will be traded on the NASDAQ stock market.
Anthropic shared the news in a post on its website. The company confirmed that its stock symbol will be ANT. However, it has not yet said how many shares it will sell or what price investors may pay for them.

The company's official SEC filing says that Anthropic made $2.7 billion in profit during the first half of 2026. When Anthropic sent its first draft of the S-1 filing to the SEC in June, it had proposed a company value of $965 billion.
Investors will have to wait to find out when they can buy Anthropic (ANT) shares. It has been a busy year for companies going public. Elon Musk's SpaceX went public during the summer. Shacknews will share more technology news as it becomes available from the technology industry.
