Anthropic, the company behind the AI assistant Claude, has shared its most detailed look yet at its business as it gets ready to sell shares to the public for the first time. This is called an initial public offering, or IPO. We explain the biggest surprises in the company's S-1 filing, a document that tells investors about the business, and what the numbers may tell us about a possible AI bubble.

Next, Meredith Whittaker, president of Signal, joins us in the studio to discuss a serious threat to private messages and end-to-end encryption. This kind of encryption helps keep messages private by making sure only the people communicating can read them. Governments are asking for ways to access private conversations, and AI agents may be able to see everything on our devices. Whittaker warns that these threats could make it impossible to protect people's privacy. She says, “we are looking at the elimination of the possibility to provide privacy.”
