OpenAI expanding ChatGPT dot access to iMessage and RCS
This is pretty cool. OpenAI is expanding access to ChatGPT dots through iMessage and RCS.
Until now, the proactive agent feature was only available within ChatGPT on mobile devices, desktop computers, and the web. You had to use the main ChatGPT app to interact with your dot.
Many people asked for this, and now you can text your dot.

Give it a task to handle for you or ask it to watch for something. You can send text, photos, or even voice notes. It will send you useful updates without waiting for you to ask.

By bringing the ChatGPT dot agent feature to iMessage and RCS, OpenAI lets users interact with their dot through the Messages app.
This could also make it possible to use ChatGPT dot officially on the Apple Watch, although we will need to test it to confirm that. It may also create new ways to use voice, beyond the built-in feature that simulates a phone call.
To set it up, tap your dot's profile and choose ‘Texting’. Your dot has the same context and plugins no matter where you contact it. This does not give your dot or OpenAI access to your other text conversations.

AI is most useful when it works with the tools you already use and is available where you need it…
