COPPELL, TX, UNITED STATES, October 28, 2026 /EIN Presswire.com/ — ActaMSP announced today that its Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals and Responsible Use training program has been certified by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) for state and local government employees.

DIR reviewed ActaMSP’s Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals and Responsible Use training program and found that it meets the state’s requirements for AI awareness training content.

Supporting Responsible AI Awareness in Texas Government

Texas Government Code Sections 2054.5191 and 2054.5193 require certain state and local government employees and officials to complete a certified AI awareness training program. DIR works with the Public Sector AI Systems Advisory Board to certify training programs that meet this requirement.

ActaMSP’s program teaches the basics of artificial intelligence, including AI concepts, practical uses, risks, limits, and responsible use. The training is designed to help public-sector workers better understand new AI technologies and use them responsibly in their daily work.

“AI is moving quickly, but responsible adoption starts with understanding,” said Justin Huffaker, President and Founder of ActaMSP. “Organizations need more than headlines and hype. Leaders and employees need practical education about what AI can do, what risks it brings, and how to use these technologies responsibly. We are proud that our program has met the State of Texas requirements for certified AI awareness training.” DIR certification confirms that the program meets the state’s requirements for AI awareness training content. This certification applies only to the program’s content. It does not cover any other regulatory or legal requirements.

ActaMSP Expands Practical AI Education for Business Leaders

ActaMSP is also expanding its AI education efforts beyond public-sector awareness training. It offers a Leadership AI workshop series for small and medium-sized business owners and senior executives.

These workshops for business leaders take place across the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas and the Little Rock area in Arkansas. They focus on practical ways to adopt AI without the hype. Topics include real-world examples of AI use in small and medium-sized businesses, setting suitable rules and limits, protecting confidential business information, and creating an effective plan for adopting AI.

ActaMSP holds Leadership AI workshops throughout the year. They give business leaders a chance to gain practical knowledge, explore real-world uses of AI, and learn how to put AI to work responsibly in their organizations. Building Practical AI Knowledge

ActaMSP President and Founder Justin Huffaker is also publishing an ongoing series of articles about how small and medium-sized business leaders can adopt AI in practical ways. His latest article, “In a modern twist, I interviewed an AI agent for a job – it didn’t go well,” describes his work on a “digital brain” and a team of AI agents that support executives. He tests how new AI technologies can be used in real business tasks.

These articles support ActaMSP’s Leadership AI workshops by sharing real-world experiments, lessons learned, and practical advice for business leaders who are exploring AI.
