Intuit Brings AI-Powered Financial Platform To Australian Businesses And Accountants
Surprisingly Useful AI Article Enhancements
Financial technology company, Intuit, has launched its Intuit Intelligence platform in Australia, bringing AI-driven automation and insights to its QuickBooks and Intuit Accountant Suite products for local businesses and accounting firms.
The platform, which is now rolling out internationally, uses a combination of large language models, machine learning and deterministic code to automate financial tasks, surface business insights and support advisory work. Intuit claims early adopters are saving an average of 13 hours a month.
The company reports that 70 per cent of customers using the platform are confident their books are done correctly, and that accountants are spending 30 per cent more time on client advisory work.
Three Questions Every Business Owner Asks
Managing Director of Intuit Australia, Anthony Capano, framed the launch around the concerns he hears from local business owners.
“Every conversation I have with a business owner comes back to the same three things: is my cash flow healthy, am I winning the next sale, and do I have the time to actually run the business,” Capano remarked.
“This is where that bigger shift shows up for Australian businesses. Intuit Intelligence takes on more of the day-to-day work automatically and brings forward the insights business owners and their accountants need, while leaving the decisions with them,” he continued. “That matters, because trust is as important as speed when it comes to AI. It means less time managing the business and more time moving it forward.”
How The Platform Works
Rather than relying on a single AI model, Intuit Intelligence selects different technologies depending on the task at hand. Large language models handle reasoning, machine learning is applied for prediction and deterministic code is used where precision is required.
The platform draws on data from 10 million customers, with an average of roughly 625,000 attributes tracked per business. Business owners and accountants retain transparency and control throughout, applying their own judgement to the outputs.
SVP of International at Intuit, Ciarán Quilty, commented: “The next generation of growth won’t come from more software, but from intelligent systems that combine AI with trusted financial data and the expertise of accountants to help businesses make better decisions and achieve better outcomes.”
New Capabilities For Business Owners
For businesses using QuickBooks, Intuit Intelligence introduces several automation features.
An Automations function lets customers describe a recurring task in conversational language. The platform then turns it into an automation that runs on its own schedule, removing the need for manual follow-up.
Autonomous Invoicing creates and sends invoices from a customer’s own documents, with reminders and updates handled automatically. The aim is to reduce the time spent chasing payments.
Conversational Custom Reports lets customers build custom reports and see a forward-looking view of their cash flow, combining ledger history, bank activity and predictive intelligence.
Accountant Suite Gets Portfolio-Wide Insights
For accountants, the Intuit Accountant Suite brings AI capabilities directly into daily practice, working as what the company describes as a virtual extension of the team.
Cross-client portfolio insights surface signals across a firm’s entire client roster, allowing accountants to spot issues without logging into each client file individually. The feature is designed to cut the hours spent on manual review.

Firm Playbooks lets a practice codify its setup, service standards and onboarding processes once and apply them to every new client in a single step, supporting consistency and the ability to scale.
A Unified Inbox brings all client communication into one centralised location, giving firms access to every client request in one place rather than searching across multiple channels.
Australian Accountant Sees Opportunity In Agentic Workflows
Founder of Townsville-based Regional Business Services, Trent Yesberg, offered his perspective on the platform.
“It’s exciting to see Intuit Intelligence in action,” Yesberg observed. “The ability to source information relevant to the question asked, and build a workflow around that specifically, is impressive.”
“There’s a huge opportunity for agentic workflows like this to streamline accounting and bookkeeping, so we can spend more time with our business owners talking about what’s relevant for their business and their growth,” Yesberg added.
Trust Remains The Barrier
The timing of the international launch reflects what Intuit identifies as a broader shift in how businesses approach AI adoption. The company’s QuickBooks 2026 AI Impact Report found that trust, not cost, is now the leading barrier to deeper AI adoption among businesses, even as regular AI use has climbed to nearly 70 per cent.
VP of Product for International at Intuit, Adolfo Fernandez, explained: “It’s built to give owners that oversight by proactively surfacing issues before they become problems, and leaving the decision with them: a cash shortfall flagged before it happens, a question answered in seconds instead of a manual report.”
“For accountants, it means seeing signals across their whole client base at once, instead of reviewing one file at a time, with every recommendation left for them to review and approve,” Fernandez continued. “Business owners get their time and confidence back. Accountants get more room to advise, not just report.”
UK Perspective
Managing Director at Morgan Reach Accountants, Kamran Shaikh, offered a view from the UK market.
“Intuit Intelligence brings together AI-driven insight, proactive monitoring and portfolio-wide visibility in a way that can genuinely enhance the advisory process,” Shaikh noted. “The beauty of this is that it doesn’t just help us find information faster, it helps us identify risks and opportunities earlier, allowing us to spend more time delivering strategic advice on growth, tax planning and wealth creation.”
“It’s a powerful example of technology and professional expertise working together, with human judgement remaining firmly at the centre of every decision,” Shaikh added.
Availability
Intuit Intelligence capabilities are rolling out now, with the above features in beta, to QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Online Advanced customers across international markets. Availability across Intuit Accountant Suite varies by product and region.
Intuit is the company behind TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, Mailchimp, Intuit Enterprise Suite and Intuit Accountant Suite.
